The Power of Preparation, Getting Things Done Today That Will Make You Better Tomorrow

Meal prep

Committing to a healthier and more well lifestyle is a significant challenge that is typically underestimated. An oft-quoted reason for lack of success is lack of time. Consistently planning and preparing the night before is one of the keys that can make you more effective and more efficient at achieving your health and wellness goals. Instead of watching television until the very last moment before going to bed, try to spend 30 minutes of your night getting ready for tomorrow. This can be simply laying your clothes out, getting your work or school bag ready, or prepping that pot of coffee the night before. This will lower your stress hormones and allow you to sleep like a baby. Don't use the extra time to sleep in and don't be afraid to arrive at work a few minutes early. You can plan and prep for a smoother day at work as well.

There are 2 routines that make it more likely that you will reach and maintain your ideal weight. The first is consistent physical activity and the second is having breakfast every day and not skipping meals. So, why is breakfast so important? When you eat breakfast and don't skip meals you reduce the likelihood of experiencing excessive hunger during the day. Excessive hunger can lead to binge and overeating, excessive snacking, and night-time eating. Preparing a healthy breakfast and/or lunch the evening before is a good way to ensure you don't miss meals and that you can avoid the urge to order pizza with the office or stop at a fast-food restaurant on the way home. An efficient and effective way to ensure breakfast and meals aren't missed is to use high protein shakes as meal substitutes. Premade shakes take zero effort to prepare and prep time for a shake using protein powder is minimal. Remember, consistently planning and preparing the night before is one of the keys that can make you more effective and more efficient at achieving your health and wellness goals.

Let's face it. Preparing healthy and satisfying meals day in and day out is very tough to do. It's also very time consuming, but we can use the power of preparation, that is someone else's preparation, to aid us over the finish line when it comes to our health. What foods are healthy? What are proper portion sizes? These are questions that many of us fail to answer correctly, and this impacts our weight and wellness plans negatively. Using a meal delivery service can assist you with this dilemma as the meals are cooked and measured by someone else and are labeled with portion sizes and calorie content of the items you're eating. You are more prepared for each day when one or more of your meals has already been prepared. Your precision is improved as you are aware of the exact portion sizes and calorie content of your meals. This can also aid you as you begin your own meal prep to improve the quality, variety, and proper portions of the food you eat.
